Urban Priol

Urban is a very well-known German Kabarett artist and comedian. 

 

Priol had his first stage performance in 1982. In 2004, his own TV show aired; a show titled ‘Alles muss raus’ (‘Everything Must Go’, 2004-2007) where he offered three to four guests in a cabaret setting and discussed political and social events of the previous week.

 

On August 3, 2006, a 45-minute excerpt from Priol’s program was broadcasted on ‘Täglich frisch’ (‘Daily fresh’). The series ran seven weeks and showed every Thursday with a program of comedians.

 

Between 2007 and 2013 he was the host of the ZDF show “Neues aus der Anstalt.” 

 

Today he can be found imitating well-known politicians such as Helmut Kohl , Gerhard Schröder, Johannes Rau, Franz Josef Strauss, Edmund Stoiber and Angela Merkel, or providing cabaret entertainment in the beer tent of Aschaffenburg’s Fair Festival.

 

Priol has several identifying trademarks, including his colorful shirts and his upward protruding hair.
