Biography
Tamar Broadbent is a comedian, singer, actor and award-winning songwriter, who studied English at Bristol University and went on to train at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Her song ‘Patrick’ was featured on BBC Radio 4’s Fresh From the Fringe 2014, a showcase of the best new comedy acts from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Tamar was a finalist in this year’s Amused Moose Laugh Off and Funny Women comedy competitions, and her recent gigs include: Glee, Outside The Box, Get Stuffed, Jongleurs, Isle of Wight Festival, Soho Comedy Club, Funhouse Comedy and Backyard Comedy Club. Her TV appearances include Lee Nelson’s Well Funny People, The Bill and Doctors.
Now an international act, Tamar has toured her solo showAll By My Selfie to Edinburgh, London and Lithuania in 2014, and to the Adelaide Fringe in the Spring, where it received lovely reviews. Her new show Brave New Girl had a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015 and she has exciting new plans on the horizon.
